The feeling of the place

From here the whole archipelago is a series of day trips — bridges and undersea tunnels put the famous sights within an hour or two, then you’re back for a hot dinner while the weather does whatever it likes outside.

Good to know

Renting a car makes the Faroes sing — distances are short but public transport is limited. Book restaurants ahead in Tórshavn; the good ones are small and fill fast.
